My First Devlog: Building Hollow The Series






As the creator of the Hollow series, I've always believed that every game tells more than just the story on the screen—it also reflects the journey of its creation. In this post, I want to take you behind the scenes and share how Hollow evolved from a single idea into a collection of seven unique games.
From the beginning, my goal was to experiment with multiple genres, exploring how different gameplay styles could express new aspects of the Hollow universe. Some games started as sketches in a notebook, while others grew out of player feedback and community discussions.
Throughout development, I faced a variety of challenges: balancing gameplay for different genres, building cohesive narratives, and ensuring each title brought something fresh to the table. There were late nights spent refining puzzles, moments of inspiration that changed everything, and times when listening to feedback led to unexpected improvements.
What ties the Hollow series together is a commitment to continuous learning and innovation. I’m always eager to try new ideas and push beyond my comfort zone—something I encourage every creator to embrace.
